Do I need Whop to use Cleavo?

No. Onboarding tickets, forms and role automations work on any Discord server. Connecting a Whop (Pro and Business) adds win-back, review rewards and the Whop card in tickets.

How does Cleavo find each member's Whop membership?

It looks up each member's Discord account on your Whop, where members linked it to get their access. Nobody has to link anything new.

What permissions does Cleavo need?

Manage Roles, Manage Channels and Manage Threads to give roles and open tickets, plus reading and sending messages. Never Administrator. Its own role has to sit above any role you want it to give or remove.

Can a form answer give a role?

Yes. Any answer in a form or ticket can give or remove roles, open a ticket, or start another automation.

How do timed roles work?

Pick a duration when you give a role. Cleavo removes it when the time is up and can message the member when it does.

Will Cleavo DM my members?

Only members who pressed Allow DMs in your server, and every DM carries a Stop DMs button. For everyone else, your automations can open a ticket or message them in your Whop's support chat.
